Mitai Maori Village: Cultural Experience and Dinner Buffet Reviews
Lovely night of activities. It was authentic and sincere, hosted by a genuinely happy family of maori. The timeline was well planned, with events following one after another. Performances were entertaining with sufficient information tidbits giving a peak into M?ori life and culture. Session ended with a delicious buffet and open question and answer section to make the experience complete. Because you’re already paying for a full experience, there’s no other upsell of souvenirs or gimmicks. Just remember that alcohol is not included in the package (but it’s available for purchase)
This is a great way to learn more about the Maori people. The vibes felt more like a friend’s family inviting you over for dinner and telling you stories than an overly commercialized experience. I love watching the haka performances and that they did a Q&A at the end. The people who run this experience made it comfortable to learn about the Maori culture. I also loved that the performers all have varying day jobs such as lawyers and teachers and the performances help stay connected to their culture.
