We will stop in 2-3 different locations. The first stop will be the Blue Lagoon. The boat will drop anchor away from the crowds so that you can experience the famous turquoise water peacefully. The stops after the Blue Lagoon depend on the weather/sea conditions.
A few of our possible stops are:
1. Crystal Lagoon, surrounded by steep, dramatic cliffs. Its crystal clear waters are much deeper than the Blue Lagoon, making the area fantastic for snorkelling and swimming in and around the caves. During this stop, you can enjoy an optional barbecue.
2. Anchor Bay to view the film set of Popeye’s Village, tucked away in a charming bay.
Other stops that could be made include Mellieha Bay, Golden Bay, GHajn Tuffieha Bay, Ramla Bay, Imgiebah Bay, or Half Rock.
All of these locations are great for snorkelling and swimming. Back on the boat, listen to dance music, and buy cocktails at the bar. If you have selected the afternoon option, relax and watch the sunset on the horizon. It was an amazing exchange! I would highly recommend it! There are many boat trips advertised online and on the streets as well. The reason why I chose this, as I didn’t want to travel on a crowded boat I wanted to enjoy my 6 hours on the boat. Usually crowded boats sell tickets for £20 ish. This was £40 but it was all worth it. Around 30 people were on the boat, so everyone could pick their favourite spot on the boat. The weather at the first 2 hours was horrible. The rain was pouring crazily, I was quite disappointed as there was nothing to do. ( Weather forecast hasn’t reported rain for that day) Some miracle happened and the last 4 hours of the trip was so so beautiful and amazing. The sun came out and it was really hot. We have visited all the destinations as the wind was kind to us. There are many stops for swimming and snorkelling. I have opted for BBQ on the boat and it was a very delicious and great portion of food with one glass of drink. I loved it!
This sunset catamaran is a great way to see the area from the water. The optional BBQ was exceptional and drinks were reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and it was an overall very pleasant experience. The only issues we had were a VERY quick stop at Popeyes (literally did not stop the boat), and unfortunately the swimming/snorkelling at Crystal Lagoon was cut short due to a ton of jellyfish in the water. The captain was prepared with a vinegar spray in event of a sting, but most on the boat didn’t take the risk and stayed onboard. Blue Lagoon was all but packed up (food trucks/shops) by the time we arrived, but the sunset here was beautiful.
